GUM GHATTI

Gum Ghatti (also known as Indian gum) is an exudate of the tree species Anogeissus Latifolia, a large tree, of the Combretaceae family, native to the dry deciduous forests of India and Sri Lanka. It has an age old reputation of being a very good medicinal product as well as having excellent emulsifying properties, which serve as the basis for most of its applications in food, pharmaceuticals, paper and other industries.
